The Bongo Circle: A Konga Beat Forum

I just found out about this project and I've having trouble. I hope this is the right area.

I installed the Konga Beat launcher, created a playlist, imported a song I got from Gamebanana (thanks @Blastamasta777). When I tried to fill in with existing music, the launcher crashed. It wouldn't open anymore, so I tried reinstalling both for all users and just me, but it still won't open no matter where I install it to, even as a fresh install.

You're in the right place! I'm sorry hear you're running into trouble. I was able to reproduce the problem, so I will hopefully have a fix up later today. 😊

It no longer crashes! But now when I hit "fill in" it just duplicates the only custom song in my library. It doesn't actually fill in songs from the existing ISO.

Nice! I'm glad the crash is fixed. As far as the fill tool, that is currently a quirk of how Konga Launcher works with ISOs. When an ISO is loaded into KL, it extracts the game and keeps a copy for itself to modify with custom tracks and launch in Dolphin. With that said, if you previously launched the game with a playlist that only contained one custom song, the game only will only have that song in its library, so filling a playlist with the game's existing music will just add that song again to your KL library.

I'm going to refine this feature this in a future update (likely 0.9.5) because it is a bit confusing as-is. For now, the easiest workaround would be to re-import your ISO and fill a playlist with the game's current songs before launching any playlist.
